Why not wear: black on black

I love the colourful looks I see stylish girls and guys wearing on the streets - a pop of colour in a winter outfit always stands out. But somehow I continue to tend towards all things black - a large majority of my wardrobe is black (or white for that matter) - and I am constantly trying to force myself out of automatically gravitating towards the black option. But these streetstyle pictures are giving my black-loving sensibilities a fresh sense of hope. Maybe wearing a whole lot of black isn't such a bad thing...

As long as you mix the textures up I say: black on black, why not?

On the streets ... colourful trousers

I thought that we'd seen the end of colourful pants a while ago. Here in South Africa they were certainly over-embraced by the teenage population who had skinny jeans in every colour of the rainbow. But I really love the more sophisticated way these ladies pull these bright shades off, especially Andy from Stylescrapbook in that first image.
