On the streets ... colourful trousers

I thought that we'd seen the end of colourful pants a while ago. Here in South Africa they were certainly over-embraced by the teenage population who had skinny jeans in every colour of the rainbow. But I really love the more sophisticated way these ladies pull these bright shades off, especially Andy from Stylescrapbook in that first image.

Kate Lanphear - Mondays Muse

Kate Lanphear, fashion director of US Elle, is the first person to look to for inspiration on how to wear all  things edgy, androgynous or rock and roll. I've always liked her trademark hairstyle and admire it even more because I know i'd ever be brave enough to change my hair so drastically. She is also one of the few people who can pull off studded cuffs around her wrists - if you're after this look, here's how you do it folks.

A day at the races

Amy at yesterday's Historic Race Day in Cape Town

Stylein s/s 2011

I absolutely love the simplicity of this collection and the way it's been styled without any jewelry or accessories. Just beautiful clothes.

Behati Prinsloo for Vogue

My summer holiday hasn't actually even ended yet but this editorial has me wishing it would start all over again. By Mariano Vivanco for Vogue Turkey its a very cool shoot, made all the more cooler by the fact that it features lovely local lady Behati Prinsloo. South African names sure are unmistakable.
